Updating verizon phone firmware
If you meet the browser requirements, check for a browser message on your screen prompting you to run an add-on.Once you do so, you should see a “Check for Updates” button here.Originally Posted by Tydeker I have a Verizon unlocked m8. I'd recommend doing a backup, but I saw that it left the apps and storage untouched.I have T-Mobile service and no way to get a Verizon SIM to update the firmware. I do not want to do the work to root/install custom recovery/etc. Thanks in advance You can use HTC Sync Manager to update your phone to the latest version (android marshmallow).
I've now used up all my data for the first time ever so have had to purchase more... Could the people who are responsible for sending us these sub standard updates be taking a backhander off the network companies? I wake up, an I'm forced to do the update whether I like it or not. This time is keeps freezing up while I'm doing a text. I have to go into the regular Apps Settings, and continuously choose the Swype keyboard. Please Note: Some devices may not be eligible for upgrades.Especially older devices like the Samsung Galaxy S3.I reset the phone to factory defaults, connected to Wi-Fi, disconnected to Wi-Fi, but nothing seemed to work. Finally, inspiration struck and I solved the issue.

Heard something about a image you flash using stock recovery. I have T-Mobile service and no way to get a Verizon SIM to update the firmware. You could one by one locate all of the ota zip files but that too could be difficult to do and your phone might not read the files from internal storage.
